To have an understanding of the area intended for community service
To enhance empathy and humility in student leaders and enable them to contribute to the well-being of the less-     fortunate
To provide authentic learning experience in refurbishing and building projects where students put their knowledge learnt     in Design and Technology into practical usage and make a difference in others life
To create a platform for the pupils to develop a sense of service learning (CIP) through engagement with local welfare     institutions, e.g. Orphanage, Children Home
To provide the pupils the opportunity to experience the outdoor adventure and service learning at the international     platform while building leadership skills
To inculcate social empathy and responsibility to enable our students to better appreciate the quality of life that has     been made possible by the excellent governance in Singapore
To inculcate character values such as compassion, responsibility, self-respect, integrity, resilience, and servant     leadership to deal with challenges in a tough environment during this service learning trip
To imbue a sense of civic responsibility to the community

Visit to local Orphanage
- Breakfast with Foster Parents
- Lunch with Orphans
- Distribution of Goodie Bags
- Interaction activities with Orphans (i.e. Singing, Dancing, Aerobics)
- Teaching simple English

- Engaging in some competitive events (i.e. Drawing Competition)

Visit Longhouse and Sarawak Cultural Village
- Participate in Traditional Musical Instruments and Cultural Dance Sessions
- Experience the diversity of the culture of the people of Sarawak through the showcase of the traditional houses of the 7 major ethnic groups and also enjoy a spectacular 45 minutes cultural show at the village’s theatre.
